30 days of lists: playing catch up!

With everthing that has been going on I have completely neglected to do my lists! I promised myself that I would make time everyday to do them, but that just hasn't happened. I am really enjoying the challenge, it just got away from me I think. So, this morning I've been playing catch up from the past couple days of lists. I'm probably not going to share them. They are really sloppy and have some spelling issues too! I did them though and now I'm back on track to continue making new lists everyday!

What have you been busy with?

30 days of lists: days 2 through 5

I really am getting a kick out of the 30 days of lists project. I’ve been trying hard to do it first thing in the morning. My mind isn’t always the most fresh when I first wake up, which I think makes it all that more interesting. Every day I can’t wait to see what the next promote is going to be. I also love reading everyone else’s lists. I think its fun to see what everyone has in common, and there are some really funny answers out there as well. I’m glad we’re still at the beginning because I don’t want this to end!

Day Two: Things I’m good at
-making breakfast
-eating
-web browsing
-crafting
-wasting time
-collage art
-playing tea party
-fudging homework
-being sarcastic
-being compassionate
-Loving my family

Day Three: I’m looking forward to…
-New baby
-Art Detour
-Friends and family visiting
-Finishing Potty training
-Beautiful sunsets
-Spending time with my husband
Painting
-Opening my Etsy shop… FINALLY!

Day Five: Weekend Goals
- Homework
- Photography Project
- Clean House
- Go to the park
- Make crafts
- More potty training
- Blog about lists
- Stay calm

Well, so far this weekend we cleaned up the house a lot! We’re getting ready for some house guests and having a two year old and a dog doesn’t make for the neatest of homes. We need to have people come more often, we REALLY needed to clean! We also made it to the park, I worked on my homework, and I’m in the process of blogging about this lists. I’d say it’s been a pretty successful weekend so far!

It's never to late to start making lists! Check out the 30 days of lists project.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Day one.

So, as my previous post stated today starts the 30 days of lists "event!" Yay! I have so been looking forward to this. So, much so that I forgot to make my notebook for it! Oops. No worried though, I woke up a little earlier this morning and put a little scrap paper note book together and I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

The little book I made.

Each page is a different fun scrapbook paper!

Day one's promote was "a few things around yourself." Pretty easy right?

I think this list thing is going to be really fun. I'm not going to be posting my daily lists. It will probably be a twice or maybe three times weekly recaps on what my lists have been. I will be posting my lists everyday on my flickr photo stream though.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about go check out the "30 Days of Lists" Blog. It's pretty much a list promote blog for the month of March. What's great about it is that it only takes a few minutes of time a day. For someone like me who keeps track of just about every second on her day this is so perfect. I can't wait to see what promotes are to come!

On a side note: If you don't see my around as much I do apologize. March for everyone I think is going to be a very exciting but crazy month. So many wonderful things are happening in my life and they just all seemed to be in this month! I will still be blogging of course; it just might not be daily like I have been doing! I have kind of been feeling like this:

Well, not really.

Thanks for being awesome!

reminder: 30 days of lists.

February has just flown by! I can't believe that tomorrow will be March! So many exciting things are happening. One of our closest friends is coming to visit us, Marc's mom is coming to visit, it's Aurora's 3rd birthday, and the Arizona Blogger meet up is on March 26th. There's also another awesome thing happening, but I'll be keeping that a secret for now.

I'm really excited for something that will be happening the entire month of March: 30 days of lists! I've talked about it before in my time management post, I can't believe it starts tomorrow! I haven't even made my book yet! Oops! I have so much work to do!

Have you check this out yet? I think it's going to be fabulous! Thanks to the lovely ladies who put this together. I'm so excited!

time management or lack there of.......

I’ve noticed an increase in talk about lists and time management across the blogging community lately. I’m not sure what happen but after the New Year everyone seemed to get off their rhythm. Well, I know I sure did. I’ve always struggled with my time management skills. I’ve always waited till the last minute to do everything. Honestly, and I’m not using this as an excuse, I work much better under pressure. Somehow when it’s 2 a.m. and my final is due I seem to do a much better job than the projects I’ve been working on for days. Life doesn’t always allow that to happen.

I used to be a night owl. I would burn the midnight oils with the best of them. Getting older and having a child has totally changed that. I’m ready to fall asleep at 9 p.m. anymore, and if I could I’d sleep till 9 a.m. Unfortunately if I would never get anything done if I did that! I try a get about around 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. to get something started; I usually just end up browsing blogs or suffering through Etsy. I realized that if I want to do anything for myself I have to stop clicking the mouse and do it!

Making lists has always been a key for me to get things done. I can’t make a calendar on the computer or a note on my phone. I have to have a piece of paper and a pen so I can write it down. Whether it was for school, work, or life, I don’t think I’d do anything without a list. So, I made a giant list book. I had several different notebooks dedicated to different things, my daily likes, homework, blog, and everything else. I combined them into one places so I can; hopefully, stay more organized and actually get something done!

While we’re on the topic of lists I’m so excited about a project that is going to be starting in March. 30 days of lists is a way for people, like me, who don’t have a ton of extra time to journal to make a fun and simple daily log of lists. I was so happy to find this gem! I’ve wanted to make an art journal for a while, but I just ever found the time to do it. I think this will be a great way for me to start to find just a few minutes in my day to work on a journal. I haven’t made my 30 days of lists journal yet, but I have a great idea for what I’m going to do! If you’re interested Campfire Chic has some great journals already made up in her Etsy shop, or make your own. I can’t wait to share my lists.
