my musical past.

Many moons ago music was my life. I slept, ate, drank, everything music. In most of my down time between work and college classes you would find me tucked away writing lyrics. I think my parents probably still have a huge trunk full of all of my rambling lyrical writing. I have a note book of some of my "better" work with me. It's fun to look back at what I was feeling back in the good old days.

Music is an amazing way to express the way you feel. Writing was always such a great escape for me. I never really got the whole music writing part of it down. I dabbled in guitar and piano but never really got the hang of it. I still have my super old hand me down guitar (the is missing a string) but I never play it. I have been contemplating picking up a new instrument. Maybe guitar isn't a good starter. I also took piano lesson and that was a big flop. I never give up, try try again! So when I saw Little Chief Honey Bee's amazing ukulele giveaway I freaked! Since my last birthday I've been thinking about buying one. Before I buy anything I think a really long time about it. Like an unnaturally long time. I rarely buy a pair of pants without going in and out of the store twice. I think I'd really would like to at least try and play though.

As I’m making it I can see them wearing and it makes me smile. I think some of my best hair pieces have come from custom works. I would love to make a piece just for you! You can name the color, size, and even type of flower and I will do my best to make your vision come true.

I didn’t think just one prize was good enough for my birthday. I would also like to make the winner a custom color button necklace. Because buttons come in so many colors and sizes I can make a verity of creations. I can even whip up something with a fabric button. You pick it and I’ll create it.

happiness in my mailbox.

This morning to my pleasant surprise I had a package waiting for me in our mailbox! I was expecting it to be a present for Aurora’s Birthday but it was for me! Yay! It was the prizes from the Grin & Bear It Giveaway. I love Heidi’s blog, and her goodies on Etsy, so when I found out I won I about fell off my chair. I never win anything! Maybe my luck is changing!


I had to show the cute little owl that was on my package. I love him! He’s a keeper for sure.

You may not think it but this darling little hat is going to come in handy for chilly Arizona mornings. Yes, it does get old here! We had a record low of 28 degrees this past February.

it's march maddness!!!!

Wow, I keep saying this, but what an exciting month! There are two really amazing giveaways that I had to share (not to mention it gives me extra chances to win ^_~.) Spring is in the air, the snow is hopefully gone and soon the trees and flowers will start blooming. It's a lovely time of year.
