wordy on wednesday: six

Finals are coming up and I wont lie I've been slacking... a lot! So I kind of took the easy way out on this weeks 'wordy on wednesday.' I used a photo I took a while ago when we went to the AZ state fair. When I started editing this photo the first thought that come into my mind was the lyrics to the song "Musical Ride" by Hanson. It think it fits prefectly. What song do you see?

I was having a lot of trouble coming up with what I was going to do for this weeks "Wordy on Wednesday" so I decided to sit down with all my crafty stuff and go crazy. This is what that looked like:

I’ve been thinking about today’s Wordy on Wednesday and I just was not completely happy with it so I decided to try something I’m a little more comfortable with; photography. I had a lot of fun with this one, choosing different settings on my camera and taking a bunch of different shoots. I finalized one I was really happy with but I loved a lot of them so I thought I’d share the others as well, just because.

Which one do you think is best? I can’t decided, I like a lot them for different reasons! Oh well…

Wordy on Wednesday: Four

Happy Decemeber Everyone! Wow, is it already Decemember? this year just flew by I think! I'm kind of excited that my first blog post for this month is for my Wordy on Wednesday series, but I'm nerdy like that. I love great quotes and this one from Thomas Edison is one of my favorites. “I haven’t failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” How great is that attitude? I was experimenting with water colors on this one and I’m not too happy with the way that part came out and I would love to make this a digital image. I still haven’t prefect the art of digital coloring but I’m working on it. I hope to revise it soon.

Wordy on Wednesday: Three

Well, my day got off to a little bit of a late start today. I meant to post my Wordy on Wednesday much early but things do happen, like sleeping in, Oops.

This week I was inspired by one of my favorite songs; “My Own Sweet Time” by Hanson. I know, Hanson, right? I’m very proud of the fact that they have been and always will be my favorite band! Why? Well, let’s save that explanation for another day.

As promised I have created a new image for my "wordy on wednesday" series! This was an idea I had a long time ago, I've sketched it out but never finished it, and I'm really happy with the results:

Wordy on Wednesday

I’ve decided to try and make this blog a little more organized; mainly for me. I want to make sure that I blog on a regular bases and as often as possible. My first step in this goal is to create a weekly series, thus Wordy on Wednesday was born.

I adore words. Words and I have not always seen eye to eye but eventually we came to terms and have had a great love affair ever since. I enjoy quotes, one liners, zingers, and lyrics the most. Even one simple word can be very thought provoking to me.

So here’s the deal: Every Wednesday from here till whenever I will take time to be creative. I will take my favorite word, quote, song lyrics, or whatever and create something visual. It could be a photo or a sketch but whatever it is it has to be WORDY!



Here is my first attempt at this. Please be kind, this is the first time I've ever really done the "scrapbooking" deal. Recently I've been using the word lovely for EVERYTHING! I can't help it, it's a lovely word!
