health update and a BIG thank you!

I have the best readers in the world I think. I honestly think when it comes to blogging its all about who is reading, not how many. I don't just consider the people who read this blog followers a lot of them are dear friends.

I want to thank anyone and everyone who has commented, tweeted, and "liked" things on my blog. Your comments and warm wishes are really the driving force to my blog. Without you this blog wouldn't mean as much. I really want to thank those of you who sent your get well wishes to me while my family was sick. It really made me smile and made me feel so much better and I was able to take care of everyone in turn. I can't thank you enough.

Carolina went to the doctor again this morning to see how the breathing treatments are going. Her lungs are clear but she still has some congestion so he still wants her to use the mask until it's completely clear, at least for 21 days. We are still able to go to Pittsburgh for the Holiday so I'm glad, we just have to take the machine with us. He has two concerns with this though. Because the medicine she has been taking is a rescue medicine often used for asthma it means she might have asthma or she might just have RSV systems whenever she gets sick and need to use the mask in the future. I'm hoping she doesn't have any problems after this all clears up. Please keep our little one in your thoughts and prayers.

Seriously, Thank you. Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.Thank you.

You're the best! I hope all is well with you. If I could hug everyone of you I would.

darth baby

This is what my week has looked like. We went to the doctor and found out Carebear has RSV. It's a virus in the lungs. Poor little thing has to put that little mask on four times a day. I have to say since we started it she sounds so much better. I'm so glad the doctor decided to do it. He could have just let it go and see how it went and she could have ended up in the ER.

The rest of us are doing better as well. My husband is great, the bits is just stuffy and I'm just scratchy. By Monday I think we should all be 100%!

This is my first attempt at blogging from my phone. It's a little easier right now with my two little rugrats being under the weather. We'll see how often I post like this.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

what i {honestly} wore wednesday: baby gear

Today I'm working on Aurora's Halloween costume. It's been rough work to say the least. As many of you know I used to be afraid of my sewing machine. Even though it's been a challenge today I love sewing. I have a long way to go before I'm good but I'm getting there. I was paying so much attention to my sewing that Aurora managed to destroy the entire apartment as well as cover herself in marker. So I strapped the baby on and got to cleaning.

May I introduce the hottest fall accessory that everyone it talking about: the baby!

what i wore: one

Happy Wednesday!!

DIY Round Up: Hello Baby!

With having a three year old and a new baby there isn’t really much time in my life to craft. That makes me kind of sad because I really do love to make new things. I love searching around and finding tutorials I’d love to try, they tend to just stack up in my favorites tab and I never actually get to work on them.

I’m going to try and live vicariously through you! I created a list of some of the tutorials I’m dying to try but just don’t have the time right now. If you do make any of these lovelies I definitely want to know what it!

{Pamplemousse1983} Maryam always has really cute and super easy tutorials. I’d love to make a little headband for Carolina.

{The Doe or the Deer} Okay, so this one really isn’t really for “baby” but I think it would be a super cute nursery décor idea!

{Janae Hardy via A Beautiful Mess} Hm, yeah these little shoes are just way to adorable and perfect for Arizona weather.

{Janae Hardy via A Beautiful Mess} I had to put another one of her tutorials on this list because this dress looks so easy to make and it so cute. We all know my challenges with the sewing machine!

{Create Loves} I love the musical modile we have now but I adore the look and feel of a DIY modile.

I really hope I get to try these out soon. Please, do share if you make any!

Lots of love!

new addition.

Long time no see my friends! Wow, has it really been this long since I posted something on my blog? Yikes! Well, I do have some amazingly exciting news to share. Our new baby girl, Carolina, was born on August 20, 2011 at 9:52am! She was 9lbs 2oz and 22in long!!! She’s huge and adorable and brings me so much joy. So far Carolina has been the extreme opposite of her sister, Aurora. Aurora has been a wonderful big sister though. She wants to hold her all the time and has only had a few really big temper tantrums over the new addition. I’m really proud of her. It’s really been an adjustment period and I think we’re far from getting things back to “normal” but I’m enjoying it. There’s nothing like cuddling with your new born to make everything okay.

I’m excited for things to start calming down and I’m already feeling like I have more energy, even if I’m only getting four hours of sleep. I’m still focusing on school work but I hope to get back to blogging as well. It’s an important release and gives me a sense of accomplishment outside of the home, and I think that’s really important for stay at home moms to have. I miss the community too. There are so many supportive bloggers out there and I can’t wait to get involved again.

Lots of love! <3

blogsitting.

Just so you know I did a guest post for Maryam at Pamplemousse 1983!

My teeny tutorial. Fun and easy collage!

I was very excited to work out this little tutorial for her. She is busy taking care of her super adorbale new little girl. It makes me very excited and terrified for our new bundle on its way.

Enjoy!

baby bump: 30 weeks.

My baby “bump” doesn’t really feel like a “bump” anymore, it’s more like a mountain. The little one is growing big healthy and strong. A lot of the time it doesn’t fell like she is just kicking and punching, it’s more like she is trying to escape! Over all though I can’t complain too much, I will complain about the heat though. It’s starting to hit 100 degrees here in AZ and if my dog and kid don’t even want to be outside you know it’s hot. I thought I had swelling issues during my first pregnancy; I’ve been blowing up like a blimp! I’m trying to not eat too many salty things but that’s all I want to eat!

Until we told our neighbors that I was pregnant they didn't realize we were having another kid. Apperently I just look like I'm HUGE!

My belly button is about to explode. It's been lovingly called "Snaggle Tooth." Isn't my husband sweet?

Speaking of eating, I went for my sugar test last week and got my results back the other day. I’m on the border line of having gestational diabetes. My number just reaches where it probably shouldn’t be. My doctor seemed pretty confident that it won’t be a problem since I’m not over weight and didn’t have an issue with it during my first pregnancy. She still ordered the three hour lab test and kind of left it up to me. I, honestly, would rather exercise more and watch what I eat. Either way, if there is an issue or not I’m going to have to change my habits. I know I haven’t been eating the best ever lately. Loads of carbs and a ton of sugar are not good for a pregnant body. So, the dog and I have been taking long walks in the morning, Aurora and I have been hitting the pool to stay active and cool and I’m going to work on not eating everything I see. I still should probably take the test but I want to make sure I’m under control before I go back in.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

baby bump: 22 weeks.

This pregnancy is so strange for me. Even though I've been through all of this its so different. Somehow I feel less prepared for this little one than I was for Aurora. I can't believe my due day is four months away. Time is flying by! It's amazing that it's April already. I think I'm losing it.

I hate taking pictures of myself. I've out grown my "regular" pants competely at this point and the weight I lost in the first trimester I gained back plus some that's for sure!

I've recently developed a strange love of milk (I hate milk) and all things strawberry. I also had some really crazy pains a few days ago. I've realized that she seems to be having growing spurts. Every time she grows I get really uncomfortable for about a day and then the next day my stomach has doubled in size!

We thought we had the name but now we've changed are mind. We've also decided not to tell ANYONE what the name is going to be until she's here and theres no looking back. It was so easy to name Aurora, we're just feeling out this little one until we decided who she might be.

Aurora and I are both a little under the weather but we're getting through it. Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

it's a....

It's a GIRL!!!

love.

peace.

I think you could have knocked me over with a feather when the lady said it was a girl! I seriously thought it was going to be a boy. She is SO super low and is completely different from Aurora. I'm so excited though.

Aurora was very excited to go see "bebe in mummy's tummy." She did a very good job through my entire doctor’s visit. I'm so proud. She carried around the sonogram pictures the rest of the night. She doesn't really understand the concept of having a baby sister, she just know a baby is coming. She's excited for now, and I'm excited she's going to have a little sister to play with.

We are still debating on a name. We are pretty sure on the first name, but we're still decided on a middle name. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that as a surprise or not. I've never been good at keeping secrets about myself. If someone else told me a secret I could take it to the grave, but if it's about me, I blab!

I can't wait to meet our new little addition! She already has super long fingers and limbs. Aurora is pretty tall, but this kid is going to be really long I think. It still kind of feels unreal, but I'm itching to get everything ready!

^_^ Happy Wednesday!

baby bump: 14 weeks 5 days.

I promise to not let my blog to become all about baby, but there is bound to be a lot about the bun in the oven. I just got back from the doctor and things are going really well. I got to hear the babies heart beat today which was insanely adorable. I don't know how a heart beat can be adorable but it was!

Early for my appointment.

There was some surprising news though. I don't know how but I lost 2 lbs since my last visit! That brings my total weight lose to 12 lbs. I'm told this is completely normal, but its so weird. I feel like I'm eating all the time and I really haven't been sick at all. I'm going to take this as a blessing. I think I learned from mistakes in my first pregnancy so I'm not eating that bad, and we walk A LOT! So all is good!

Where's my feet go?

Baby bump or "beer" belly? Not that I drink mind you!!! lol

For my next visit I'll have my full scan done and we'll find put the sex and all that good stuff. Granny Play, Marc's mom, will be here for that as well as Aurora's 3rd birthday. Crazy, time is flying by!

Piston, just because he's cute! ^_^

BIG NEWS!!!!!!

So, craving twisters, Chinese food, and orange juice all at the same time? You might just be pregnant! Oh wait... crrrrappp!!!

Baby "A" ^_^

I am very excited to say that, yes, I am pregnant! It’s pretty crazy and I think I’m still in shock over the whole thing. Life really hasn’t changed that much, so sometimes I completely forget! It seems crazy to think that I could forget that I’m developing a little life form inside my stomach, but I just do! I’m about 13 weeks along now. We decided to wait a while to tell everyone about our future new addition. When I was pregnant last time we blurted it out to the world right away, so it was kind of nice to have a little secret for a while.

I’m excited, anxious, and scared all at the same time. I don’t know how I’m going to manage two kids, but I just keep reminding myself that people do it all the time and they have even more! I don’t know how some families do it. I’m sitting here pulling my hair out over one, and some people have three, four, or even more! AH! It makes me a little nauseous just thinking about it. I’m excited for Aurora to have a sibling though; I think it will be really good for her socially. I grew up as an only child and although it did have its perks I think it would have been nice to have a brother or sister around.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress. I can’t believe I already have a “baby bump” or it’s just extra chub around midsection, not too sure yet. I’m definitely not as young as I was when I had Aurora, and I’m way less in shape than I was. I am trying to eat better this time, no tubs of ice cream, or midnight Arby’s runs for this girl!

Happy Valentine's Day Weekend!!!!
